December 2005 - Smitty Smith named Shindaiwa Technical Services Manager of the Year!

Congratulations to Stephen "Smitty" Smith for winning the 2005 Shindaiwa Technical Services Manager of the Year award! Smitty was presented the award at the conclusion of Service Seminar XVIII in Portland, Oregon.

Smitty has worked at Roberts Supply for ten years. Keep up the great work, Smitty!

December 2005 - Territory Managers win 2005 Manufacturer Awards

Congratulations to Marc Scalora and Josh White for being honored with manufacturer awards for sales. Marc Scalora was named Exmark's Southeast region Distributor Salesman of the Year for 2005. Josh White won Shindaiwa's award for Outstanding Sales Performance in 2005. The awards were presented in a ceremony that took place during Roberts Supply's dealer trip to Mexico.

December 2005 - Year End Trip & Awards

Once again Roberts Supply Inc. ended the year with a dealer trip designed to reward dealers for their dedication and hard work. This year thirty-three dealers along with representatives from Roberts Supply, Exmark and Shindaiwa enjoyed a four day stay at the luxurious all-inclusive Aventura Spa Palace Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico!

Roberts Supply, Exmark and Shindaiwa took this opportunity to co-host an award dinner honoring the top dealers of the Southeast. Trail Saw & Mower Service, Royal Edger & Mower, Tools for a Time, Al's Lawn Care, and Green Thumb Lawn & Garden won Exmark dealer awards. Royal Edger & Mower earned the distinction of being Exmark's Top dealer of the Southeast region. Green Thumb Lawn & Garden and Lost Mountain Outdoor Power Equipment won Shindaiwa dealer awards. Green Thumb Lawn & Garden was honored as the number one Shindaiwa dealer in the Southeast region.

October 2005 - Annual Founders Club Trip

Roberts Supply established the Founder's Club in 1994 as a way of rewarding long-term employees for their hardwork and dedication. Employees are eligible to become members of the Founder's Club after they have worked at Roberts Supply for five years. There are many perks of being a Founder, including an annual Founder's Trip every fall.

This year the original destination was New Orleans, Louisiana. Unfortunately, after the devastating damage of Hurricane Katrina, the location had to be changed. On October 18, 2005 the Founders set sail on a Caribbean cruise docking in Nassau, Bahamas.

This trip included a new tradition of celebrating employees' tenth and twentieth year anniversaries with Roberts Supply. The employees were honored in a special ceremony onboard. Robert Supply appreciates the hard work that Scott McAlister (10 years), Terry Gibson (13 years), George Koch (19 years), Mark Vining (20 years), and Rick Roberts (over 20 years) have contributed to the company.

July 2005 - Pepsi 400 Exmark Summer Spectacular

Roberts Supply invited qualifying Exmark dealers to Daytona for the Pepsi 400, Saturday July 2nd. Roberts Supply rented the open-air Paddock Club Suites located directly above Pit Road in the infield. Dealers enjoyed pre-race activities such as admission to Daytona USA and the Fanzone attractions. Roberts Supply grilled hotdogs and bratwursts throughout the afternoon and a fried chicken dinner was provided in the evening. The seating offered an amazing view of all the action during the race including the front stretch, finish line and pit stops! A fireworks show was the perfect ending to a funfilled day.

April 2005- Bill Esler named 2004 Salesman of the Year

Congratulations to Bill Esler, recipient of Roberts Supply Inc.'s 2004 Salesman of the Year Award! Each year, Roberts Supply chooses one of its Sales Associates to be honored with the award. The winner is determined by sales numbers and level of dedication and support to his dealers.

This is Bill Esler's first time winning the award as the Honda OEM representative. His sales territory is all of Florida. He received Roberts Supply's 1996 Salesman of the Year Award while selling Shindaiwa, Exmark and Little Wonder products.

"OEM sales is a lot more technical and involves far more paperwork than other types of sales," explains Rick Roberts, Executive Vice-President and Sales Director at Roberts Supply Inc. "Since Bill rejoined Roberts Supply, we have seen tremendous improvement on the OEM side of Honda. Bill has proven to be a valuable asset."

March 2005- Lorri Sklar promoted to Vice-president

Roberts Supply is pleased to announce that Lorri Sklar has been appointed Vice-president Lorri has been with Roberts Supply for six years, starting as an intern in 1999. After graduating with a Bachelors in Marketing, she became Roberts Supply's Advertising Coordinator. In March of 2001, Lorri was promoted to Director of Marketing and became responsible for all of Roberts Supply's corporate marketing functions.

"Lorri has been a tremendous asset from her very first day," stated Rick Roberts, Executive Vice-president of Roberts Supply, Inc. "She has only improved since and we look forward to many more years to come."

February 2005 - Roberts Supply holds 9th Annual Service Conference

Roberts Supply held its 9th Annual Service Conference February 9th and 10th. The all inclusive service conference was created to allow dealers to fulfill their yearly training requirements in only two days. The conference provides the opportunity to learn about new service and warranty procedures and new products through hands-on training, product demonstrations, and updates taught by qualified manufacturer representatives.

Not only does the conference offer an educational experience, but an entertaining one as well. Along with two full days of classes, the dealers enjoyed an evening of fun at the Roberts Supply warehouse. The night included a live auction, a cookout dinner, casino games and the chance to get up close and personal with Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #8 Budweiser car.
